Lindsey Leigh is the author and illustrator of The Deep! and The Dark! for Penguin Workshop and the illustrator of Sick! The Twists and Turns Behind Animal Germs for Bloomsbury Children’s Books. She has a passion for drawing unusual animals and enjoys using comics to communicate science concepts to audiences of all ages. She lives and works in Somerville, Massachusetts and is currently working on a cartoon guide to public transport accessible nature areas in greater Boston.

Mysto (they/them) is a queer Latinx comic artist making queer horror comics in North Carolina. They have self published their work through their micropress MystoPress since 2019, and they also organize the independent horror anthology Paroxysm (now in its upcoming 5th volume in October 2025!). Their work features themes of the transfigurative power of nature, trauma and the body, queer identity and sexuality, and mental health.

Via live demonstration, Mad will cover a variety of traditional inking tools, like technical and brush pens, and give tips on mark-making, line variation, and keeping your hand steady. She will also cover the inking order of operations (what should you ink first? Word balloons or art?), hand-lettering, and digital cleanup. Bring your favorite inking tools, or some you've been wanting to try!
